What if the iPhone was released in the 1960s?

In my History of Design course, we discussed how modern day products would be advertised if they were released in various time periods. I began to wonder how the iPhone would look if it was released in the 1960s. Different parts of the world would market the product differently, but I wanted to take this on as if the Soviet Union were advertising this product. This time period was known for the Space Race, especially with the race to the moon. I used this idea to but the Soviet Union in a place of power, convincing people that buying the phone would correlate to winning the space race.

This project made me not only think of how design worked in the 1960s, but how it looked differently across the world. Many U.S 1960s posters made use of blues and patriotic colors. On the other hand, the USSR often relied on bold reds and cream colors. The use of red indicated strong power. Some posters would use blues, however red was most prominent. I made sure to continue that trend in my work.
